Dolls of corn leaves

It is an old folk art. Corn rustle is a traditional material that has spread in Bohemia since the 17th century, especially in Southeast Moravia, where maize was grown most. The dried ears were used to make utility items such as cables, pads or boxes, as well as dolls depicting various themes of village life and church holidays. The cleaned rust is first soaked in water so that it is malleable and does not crack. It can also be bleached with sulfur, now in modern times with textile colors. I prefer natural coloring, from a variety of shades of brown to green. However, I do not resist dyeing, however, it is necessary to dye carefully and maintain a natural and natural appearance.

I also like to add white lace to the doll because they will get a more delicate look.
